Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results; Thornton Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
Our hosting provider records ordinary technical details such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the site and understand which Thornton research pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use the Information
We use it to operate the site, troubleshoot issues, measure traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
County, State, and Other Links
Thornton pages link to Adams County and Colorado records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The destination’s privacy policy governs what you submit there, not this one. The same applies to sponsored search results supplied by an outside company.
Who May Process It
Hosting and other service providers may process the server-log information needed to run the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise do not share it except as needed to operate the service.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because Thornton Residents Directory has no user accounts, it does not hold a password or account profile for you.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has sent us information, contact us so we can remove it.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may be able to access, correct, or delete personal data that a website keeps about you. For covered entities, the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. Title 6, Article 1, Part 13, also addresses rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, and certain opt-outs. Because this site keeps very little, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs and removing what we find. Use the Contact page to ask. The Act does not automatically erase independently public records held by Colorado, Adams County, Thornton, or another custodian; requests about those records must go to the office that maintains them.
Policy Updates
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here. Continued use of the site after an update indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
